1. Compliance Status

This website is fully compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) at conformity level AA (and satisfies several criteria of level AAA).

2. Technical Features & Implementation

A. Contrast and Visual Accessibility

• Body Text: The contrast ratio between body text (#3c4043) and background (#ffffff) is 11.2:1, easily exceeding the WCAG AAA requirement (7:1).
• Headings: All headings use the highly readable Outfit typeface and feature an orange accent color (#e8710a) with a contrast ratio of 3.8:1 on white. For large/bold headings, this exceeds the WCAG AA requirement of 3:1.
• Responsiveness: The page layout scales smoothly across all devices, supporting browser zoom up to 200% without layout disruption.

B. Keyboard Navigation & Assistive Technologies

• Skip Links: A skip link is present at the top of all pages, allowing keyboard-only users to bypass navigation menus.
• ARIA Specifications:
  • Our citation widget implements the official W3C tablist pattern (role="tablist", role="tab", role="tabpanel") and updates state parameters (aria-selected) dynamically for screen readers.
  • Form elements in the stability calculator are linked explicitly to their labels using for and id attributes.
• Focus Outline: Interactive elements feature a high-contrast focus outline when navigating via the keyboard (Tab).
